140 years italian tradition

The history of Salumificio Mainelli started in Oleggio back in 1877. It was one of the first cold meats factories in Italy. Since the very beginning the homemade approach went hand in hand with technical and technology progress. These were the bases to the company growth across its 140 years in the business.

1877
The beginning

Donato Mainelli founded the company which was then handed down to his son Nino Mainelli.

1960
The turning point

Romano Mainelli takes the reins of the company.

1972
New site

Romano Mainelli builds the new headquarters in Oleggio, Valsesia street.

2009
The innovation

Since 2009 the campany has a photovoltaic system.

2012
Store opening

The company decides to open a new store in Via Valsesia 21, in order to offer the vast range of Romano Mainelli products to private consumers.

2013
A further innovation

The company decides to have a methane cogeneration group.
